MINISTRIES
The Center in Tampa
has several ministry departments that are vital for the spiritual growth of each
individual and family who are part of our church. These ministries are of
great importance because they help each person grow in intimacy with God
and/or allow members to fellowship with one another and work as a team for
the Kingdom of God.
Prayer and Intercession
We believe that Prayer and Intercession is the call of every believer. As
with any relationship, good communication is vital for a healthy
relationship. As individuals, we each need to move towards real communication
with our God. Through prayer intimacy is developed. Prayer is simply talking
to God. We encourage talking to Him daily and listening.
There is strength in a house that becomes a House of Prayer. We desire to
become a House of Prayer. Come and join us. We meet on Tuesdays at 7:30
p.m. at (call for location information (813) 600-5404) For information, please feel free to call the church
office.
Bible Study
Jesus is the Word. As we become one with the Word we become one with Jesus.
In the First Century, study was considered one of the highest forms of
worship. It was not viewed as an optional event for believers but what went
hand and hand with being a believer. Our Bible Study are
on alternate Saturdays.
Discipleship Workshops
Discipleship Workshops are held periodically.
Children’s Ministry
Our children experience a great time with plenty of laughter while learning
to respect and appreciate God for all of His goodness. Our vision is not
simply to educate them about who God is, but also who they are in Him. We
desire they be equipped in this revelation and in the power of God’s love and
God’s Spirit. For information on Children’s Ministry, email angela@thecenterintampa.com.
Youth and Young Adults Ministry
We believe this generation is very put off by religiosity and the traditions
of men. It gladly exchanges traditions of men for the traditions or ways of
God. This generation will accept nothing less than the real, the genuine, the
authentic presence and presentation of who God is. It rejects the hype and
the hoopla of the church world and especially its superficiality. They seem
to want the deeper things of God and at the same time are very honest with
where they are in their relationship and their revelation of God. They take
God at His Word and go against the current. This generation will be the
generation to usher in the Revival of Righteousness as the progressive Army
of God. Call for meeting information (813) 600-5404.
Prison Ministry
Pastor Bobby is very passionate about our Prison Ministry. If this is an area
the Lord is calling you to, please contact our Church office for the schedule
on prison ministry certification. Classes are usually offered about six times
a year at the
Polk
County
correctional
facility in Auburndale. Training consists of a 2-hour class and upon completion, you will receive a certificate that will allow
you to join the prison ministry team that visits correctional facilities
periodically throughout the state of
Florida
.
Prisoners are taught about God’s grace and mercy through song and word.
There is also a time of intercessory prayer. This ministry also
connects prisoners with local area churches for bible studies and smooth
transition into society after their release.
Ministry to the Homeless
“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat , I was thirsty and you gave
me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed
clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in
prison and you came to visit me.” - - Matthew 25:35
Ministry to Orphans
Our ministry to Orphans is an overseas missions outreach.
